Duval Fournier Architects is a partnership founded in 2007 by architects Nicolas Duval and Frédérique Fournier. Based in Cyprus, the studio works on projects within the field of architecture, interior design and furniture design.
We believe in Architecture that connects the needs and desires of the client to the social, economic and environmental realities of the project. We are committed to our clients, placing dialogue, imagination and attention to detail at the heart of the conversation.
We see our work as a creative process; bringing life to your ideas.
Our first step is to take into account all the possible parameters that may influence the project. We explore the context; collecting requirements, identifying alternatives, analysing and organising information that will indicate how we orient design and build the project. Adding to the variables, a few constant principles also guide our decisions:

Functionality is an important architectural concept for us as it defines the basic purpose of our mission. Rather than being restrictive, it provides us the opportunity to be creative; by questioning principles and suggesting alternatives we ultimately improve the future experience of the user.

Nicolas Duval studied painting and sculpture at the Beaux-Arts in Paris before moving on to architecture at the ENSA of Toulouse. Frédérique Fournier obtained her baccalaureate in Applied Arts, continued with a degree in Interior Design before graduating as an architect.
The partners met during their architectural studies in Toulouse, France and further studied in Montreal, Canada and Athens, Greece, before moving to Cyprus.
They founded Duval Fournier Architects in 2007.
More recently, in 2013, Nicolas Duval further enhanced his expertise by pursuing a specialisation in project management, obtaining accreditation as a project manager and in 2014 following a specialisation in energy efficiency, obtained accreditation as an Energy Auditor.
